Jacques Monerie is a very charming person, with
a lot of interesting ideas regarding locking knife
systems.
We could meet him some years ago around knifes
show with a suitcase full of cleaver handmade
prototype with unique material, and constructed
with exceptional intelligence and an original
creativity.
A beautiful example of genius and passion!

The Bal'X is a new prototype of the Bal'XYZ, inspired
from both the XYZ concept and the balisong concept.
Two balisong specialists, Fred Perrin (experts
in self-defense weapons & balisong) and Guillaume
Morel (author of the book Balisong,
le couteau papillon) tested the knife... and
appreciated a lot how it can be handled, played
with. |

The Tube Cigare made by Robert Losson is both
light and strong (made of Carbon). Gérard
Lecoeur, specialist of throwing knives in France,
found a second interest in this object: Yawara,
self-defense weapon coming from Japanese arts,
allowing strikes & locks.
